Lottery Categories

What Category Should I Apply To?

You may only apply once to the lottery and will be required to choose a category in your application. All applicants must apply to the category that reflects their citizenship and not where they live, i.e.; the International Category is for INTERNATIONAL artists, and not for Canadians living, working or studying abroad.

Festival slots are allocated into the following quota (odds are dependent on total applicants).

  • Saskatchewan (30%)
  • Canadian (50%)
  • International (20%)

Saskatchewan
– Primary Contact’s citizenship is Canadian
– Primary Contact is a permanent resident of Saskatchewan OR primary contact is from Saskatchewan but currently lives elsewhere.
– entire cast and crew are permanent residents of Saskatchewan

Canadian
– Primary Contact’s citizenship is Canadian
– Primary Contact is a permanent resident of Canada (outside Saskatchewan) OR primary contact is from Canada (outside Saskatchewan) but currently lives elsewhere
